Art Gallery

line

One of my loves is art. Years ago I opened a picture frame shop that eventually morphed into a full-scale art gallery. Art is still in my heart and I continually seek out a fix for my habit.

Of all the best-kept local secrets in the Atlanta area, the one at the top of that list is the Booth Western Art Museum. The museum is located just 30 minutes north of Vinings (where I live) in Cartersville, GA. Featured on this post is an artist that I once represented in my gallery, Frank McCarthy. The Booth Museum has several of McCarthy’s original paintings on display as well as other prominent artists.

Along with western art, the Booth Museum has some wildlife pieces, a major collection of Civil War art, as well as a United States Presidents gallery that houses signed articles and photographs from most all U.S. presidents.

If you get a chance you should take the time to explore the Booth Western Art Museum. If you have any inclination that you might enjoy art, I promise you won’t be disappointed!
